Sponge Man had saved the little towheaded girl from the whirrlies. Sal was fuming red! He reached down into his backpack and searched for what he knew was Sponge Man's greatest fear and weakness. Drying out!!! Like any Sponge, Sponge Man has to be moist to work. His greatest problem is if he is away from water too long. Sal knew this. Sponge Man knew Sal knew this. So, they both knew.
Sal pulled out his newest and most clever anti-Sponge Man device he had ever devised. The Super-Powered, battery operated hair dryer!! Yes, clever Sal had created a battery powered hair dryer so powerful it could dry out even Sponge Man at 50 paces and in a matter of seconds. As he pulled it out of the backpack, a man sitting near by yelled,
"watch out! He has a gun!"
Thinking the hair dryer was truly a gun. The entire crowd in the restaurant gasped. Men stepped in front of women (or women in front of men... depending on who was braver!), children hid under the table (having practiced earth quake drills in school, they knew how to protect themselves!!)
Sponge Man turned and saw Sal pointing the hair dryer at him. He didn't know what it was, but he certainly knew it wasn't going to be good for him. He looked around and tried to find a way to protect himself. Out of the corner of his eye he saw...
