After slamming the Sponge mobile into the curb, Sponge Man leaped out of the window not bothering with the door. He sprinted toward the door of the Great Wall and flung it open without slowing down. His "square" but "thin" form helping to get him through the door quickly. He knew Sal was up to no good, but what had he done? Where was the problem? Sponge Man put his nose in the air and smelled that telling smell of bacteria and then illness... it came from the Sweet and Sour Pork!!
He looked about the room and there, with the spoon only inches from her mouth was the towheaded girl.
He screamed "stop."
The whole room stopped and saw the yellow colored Sponge standing in the doorway. Sponge Man flew (literally) toward the young girl and grabbed the spoon from her hand. The mother protested,
"what is the problem, Mr. Sponge?"
Sponge Man responded,
"that dish is contaminated. If she eats it she will have the whir-lies."
The small girl cried out,
"Mommy, don't let him take my sweet and sour."
The mother answered,
"honey, we'll get you some more, but I think this better get thrown out. Thanks Sponge Man, you saved her from the "whir-lies!""
Sal Monella was sitting in the corner fuming red! He hated Sponge Man and now wanted to get even. He reached into his backpack and .... stay tuned.

Episode #4 Sal Attacks!
It was a quiet morning at the "The Great Wall" restaurant. It was just before lunch when a strange looking man entered thru the front door. The hostess felt an uneasy feeling as she asked the gentleman if was there for lunch. He replied,
"why of course, why else would I be here?"
The response was a bit rude and unsettling. None the less, she led him to a booth near the middle of the room. He asked,
"could I please have a table closer to the buffet?"
The hostess thought this a bit pushy, but found a table near the buffet line.
Sal settled in to his chair and started to plan his attack. He looked over the buffet line and thought about what should he infect. Chicken Chow Mein, Yakasoba Noodles, Sweet and Sour Pork... ah, the Sweet Sour Pork!! Everyone's favorite. He asked his waiter for a glass of water and waited for the "coast to clear".
People began to line up as morning turned to noon. The lunch crowd is always busy and Sal opened his book and began reading as he waited for his chance. When all the waiters were busy with patrons, he decided to strike. He slithered his way over to the Sweet and Sour Pork and stuck his greasy hands right into the pot. Immediately, the food started to bubble and boil as it turned from a friendly and delicious dish to poison. Worst of all, the dish looked or smelled no different than before, but when ingested would make you violently ill. Simply put, "the whir-lies"!! Nobody wants to experience that!
Sal slithered back to his seat and waited for his handy-work to take shape. It didn't take long for a mother and a small girl to walk up to the buffet. The cute curly haired towheaded girl shrieked,
"Oh Mommy, Sweet and Sour Pork! My favorite!"
The mother pulled 2 large spoonfuls from the pot and piled them on her plate. She quickly ran back to the table (ignoring all the no running signs) and plopped quickly on her chair. Grabbing her spoon she picked up a large bite and... stay tuned!

Episode 3- Where will Sal Strike!!
Sal Monella pays a visit
As Sponge Man left his house he could feel the presence of Sal Monella. It was a feeling in his gut that told him he was close by and up to no good... but where?? Where will he strike? Sponge Man just wasn't certain. He hopped in his car (the Sponge-mobile... more later about the Sponge-mobile) and drove downtown. He knew Sal would most likely attack a restaurant. But, which one? Where? When? Sponge Man had many questions. He thought to himself... if I were Sal, where would I strike? He started to break it down... he most likely will try to affect as many people as possible. He would also attack where there is easy access. Ha!! It has to be a buffet. And a large one. A popular one. He began to narrow it down. As he drove by "The Great Wall", the feeling in his gut grew stronger! He knew Sal was close by. He crossed 2 lanes of traffic in a rush and hopped the curb into the Great Wall parking lot. Sponge Man was in a hurry. Cursing motorists did not understand why. But, Sponge Man knew. And he knew time was of the essence. Stay tuned...

Episode 2- Sal Monella is near!

As Sponge Man lay awake in his soap dish one morning, he wondered what the day would bring. Would he help some poor innocent child from picking something up off a dirty floor and putting it in his/her mouth? Would he be called to visit a local restaurant and wipe the kitchen clean while giving a workshop on the merits of "cleanliness in the workplace"? He couldn't wait to begin the day.
Not wanting to waste anymore time he hopped down from his soap dish and right into the sink making one fast whirl around and scrubbing away any germs that may have developed over the night. Or course, Sponge Man always has the cleanest sink in the world. What else would you expect?
He turned the water on, bathed himself in antibacterial soap, wrung himself out and hopped in the microwave setting it for 3 minutes making sure to kill any bacteria on himself. He hopped out and did a couple of back flips and danced toward the front door when he saw a menacing sign in the sky. It was the clear vision that only Sponge Man can see and he didn't like it either. It was the sign of his greatest nemesis; Sal Monella. He knew his day had changed. The battle had just begun. Stay tuned...
